Why

Your sales figures are only part of the picture

Discounts, the mix of products you sell, the way your team presents solutions and the stock that stays on your shelves all influence the performance of your practice.

The programme starts with your own information. Together, we examine what is available, identify the priorities and turn them into changes you can work on in the practice.

Who it is for

Owners ready to implement changes with their team

Owners of independent optical practices, typically with one to four locations, who want a clearer view of the business and are prepared to implement changes with their team.

The programme is delivered in English. The first market focus is the UK, and applications from other English-speaking markets can be considered during the review call. You will need access to your practice’s business information and time to work on agreed actions between sessions. Gaps in data are part of the initial assessment.

The programme

Twelve weeks, five stages

01Weeks 1–2: understand the practiceWe begin with a technical session to review and extract the available business data from your practice management system. You receive a written analysis identifying the priorities and an initial assessment of your positioning.
02Weeks 3–5: strengthen the way the practice is runWe work on data recording, stock ageing and turnover, purchasing information and discount policies. The aim is to make the decisions affecting margin more visible and consistent.
03Weeks 6–9: develop consultative sellingUsing the Eyemage approach, we examine the consultation, the explanation of value, price objections and relevant opportunities such as second pairs, sunglasses and lens upgrades. You work on bringing the agreed approach into the team’s daily practice.
04Weeks 10–11: build continuity with existing customersWe work on your customer database, recall and follow-up routines, digital communication and practical uses of AI that support the agreed processes.
05Week 12: review the work and plan the next ninety daysWe examine implementation and the information available, identify what needs more time and define the next priorities. The first cohort has a further results review once the January measurement period is complete.
How we work together

What the programme includes

  • Twelve weekly group calls.
  • Four individual calls at the main decision points, in weeks 2, 5, 9 and 12.
  • An initial technical session for each practice.
  • Structured resources and asynchronous support during the programme.
  • A first cohort planned for four practices. Direct staff training beyond the owner-led implementation work is scoped separately; any additional work is agreed before it is included.
What we measure

Consistent definitions, honest comparisons

We agree consistent definitions for gross margin on sales, discounting, average complete-sale value and the relevant sales mix. We also examine stock ageing and turnover, recognising that some changes take longer to become visible.

The first cohort’s final measurement uses January 2027, with January 2026 as a comparison where suitable data is available. Results depend on the starting position, the quality of the information and the changes implemented.

The scope

Improving the existing business

The programme focuses on improving the existing business and the relationship with existing customers. Paid customer acquisition, new locations and major structural investment sit outside this twelve-week programme.

AI is used where it helps the work. It follows the business priorities and the processes being developed.

Cohorts

First cohort and future cohorts

The first cohort started on 12 October 2026 with four practices: ten weeks before the Christmas break, a pause from 21 December to 3 January, the final two teaching weeks from 4 and 11 January 2027, and a final results review in early February 2027 after the January measurement period.

For information about future cohorts, get in touch. The schedule and participation terms are confirmed before enrolment.

Frequently asked questions

The call is an initial conversation about your practice, your priorities and whether the programme is a suitable fit. The technical data review and written analysis take place inside the programme.
